Development and implementation of a water activity centre for the beginner and enthusiast surfer. Environmentally low impact design to provide a low energy and Net Zero imbedded carbon solution.
ep projects team are developing detailed design proposals for The Lagoon to be delivered on several strategically located UK sites. Each site will include extensive hospitality, retail, viewing and teaching facilities, with accommodation and related experiential facilities being added when the site allows.
Desired Outcomes
Creation of a surfing centre of excellence with grounded commercial business planning and all-round appeal for both the starter and accomplished surfer. Deliver a low energy in operation development setting new standards for minimising and recycling water use and generating operational energy requirements on site.
The Challenge?
Securing planning permission on strategic sites with good infrastructure links to attract and facilitate 250,000 + visitors a year. Adopting the highest standards of environmental performance in both design and whole-life operation applying Living Buildings Challenge and Passivhaus standards.
