The Abbey Park Extension is a 210,000 sq ft net zero office and light industrial high quality extension to an existing business park on the outskirts of Romsey in Hampshire.
ep projects were commissioned to prepare design proposals for the concept and detailed design of Abbey Park Extension, a mixed B1, B2 and B8 business park to the East of the existing Abbey Park Business Park in Romsey, Hampshire. Planning application has been submitted to Test Valley Borough Council in November 2022.
Desired Outcomes
This project bucks the trend of traditional business park development by providing a biophilic, wellbeing-focussed campus that will be constructed to the highest sustainable standards and be self-sufficient in its energy production.
The Challenge?
The challenge lies in delivering approximately 250,000 ft2 of accommodation on a 630,000 ft2 site whilst achieving sufficient levels of wildlife enhancement and biodiversity net gain.
